Vue International utilises pan-European footprint in distribution deal with the most successful Italian film of all time.
Vue International announced today its partnership with Taodue to release the Italian sensation, Quo Vado?, the most successful Italian film of all time, into its UK theatres.
The Italian box office success Quo Vado? overtook Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the box office and was the most viewed film of all time in Italian theaters with more than 9m film fans turning out, generating €65.2m at the Box Office in total.

“When a local title attracts larger audiences than Avatar and outstrips Star Wars it’s an obvious choice to explore a pan-European distribution arrangement with. The Space Cinemas, owned by Vue International, enjoyed success with this now infamous Italian comedy and therefore as a European exhibitor we are delighted to be able to bring this celebrated title to Italian and non-Italian film fans in the UK to enjoy.”
Vue will be screening the hit Italian film exclusively in the UK across 30 of its cinemas from Friday 22nd April, following the premiere at Genesis Cinema in partnership with CinemaItalia on the 15th April.
