January 2025;Vue has appointed Eve Gabereau as Director of Distribution for Vue Lumière, Vue’s newly launched, dedicated distribution arm focused on bringing more high quality international and British films to European screens.
Eve is an experienced film executive with a wide international network and specialises in distributing independent films by both established and emerging talent. Most recently, Eve founded and led as CEO, Modern Films, a London-based distribution, production and digital exhibition company. Established in 2017 with the release of Manifesto starring Cate Blanchett, Modern Films champions diverse, distinct and impactful stories through the power of cinema including the Oscar®-winning Drive My Car and this year’s awards contenders: Vermiglio (Venice Silver Lion winner) and stopmotion animation Memoir of a Snail (Annecy Cristal Award, LFF Best Film, featuring the voice of Sarah Snook). Prior to this, Eve co-founded Soda Pictures/ Thunderbird Releasing, an independent distribution company for UK and Ireland releases and titles in North America.
Commenting on her appointment, Eve said: “I’m delighted to be joining Vue and to be part of launching Vue Lumière at such an exciting time for both Vue and the industry. I am looking forward to bringing more stories to audiences across the UK and Europe.”

Eve, who is also a board member of Film London and the British Independent Film Awards as well as an accredited ACE Producer, joined Vue on 6 January 2025, and reports into Otto Turton, Group Chief Commercial Officer, Vue.
