Press Releases

14th April 2020 - The COVID-19 pandemic is having a once in a lifetime impact on society, business and personal lives.

To protect people’s jobs while our cinemas and head offices are closed, Vue International has reluctantly taken a decision to furlough the majority of its staff in the UK and head office. For those whose salary is greater than the government cap, Vue will top that up to 80% of their salary. In addition, the company is instituting a temporary company-wide pay cut which means all staff, including those not furloughed, will see their salaries reduced by 20% during April, May and June. Pay cuts for the Group Executive team will be between 25% and 30%. These steps will help us emerge from this crisis ready and able to re-build our business and welcome back our customers as and when they return to our cinemas.
