Press Releases

Vue International today announced that Roberto Masi has been appointed as Managing Director of The Space Cinemas, which operates 36 state-of-the-art cinemas with 362 screens in Italy.

Roberto joins The Space Cinemas after a highly successful career working as Managing Director of McDonald’s, Italy since 2007 and before that with Conforama Group and Carrefour. Roberto takes over from Toby Bradon who will return to his role with Vue International as Executive Director of Strategy & Business Improvement, based in London.

Tim Richards, Founder & CEO of Vue International, says: "We are delighted that we have been able to secure the services of a highly experienced and talented Managing Director in Roberto Masi to help us grow and develop our Italian business to reach its potential in what is a very exciting and dynamic market. I am all the more pleased to welcome Roberto to the growing Vue International Group as we seek to develop our existing cinemas and expand in new markets across Europe."

“I would also like to thank Toby Bradon for his exemplary work as Acting Managing Director of The Space since September 2016. During his time in Rome, Toby has helped develop the team, started to deliver significant change and provided the company with a clear strategic direction to move forward”.

Roberto Masi commented on joining Vue International and The Space Cinemas, “after many successful years at McDonald’s where I have been able to lead a team that has completely transformed the business I have decided the time is right for a new challenge. I have been searching for the right company that would give me the opportunity to utilise the skills and experience I have developed across a wide range of Food and Retail businesses over many years. The right company has to have the right culture, great people, world class assets and an appetite for the future, Vue International and The Space Cinemas ticks all these boxes and I can’t wait to meet the team in Italy and get started.”

Roberto starts his new position on January 12th 2017 and will work with Toby Bradon during a transition period until early February. Ends.
